Consider a ducted heat pump or central system instead if:
Your home already has sound, well-sealed ductwork. A central heat pump can cost less per conditioned square foot than several heads.

Wall-mounted indoor heads are a dealbreaker for you, though floor-mount and recessed ceiling-cassette heads are worth a look before you rule ductless out.

Choose single-zone when you need to fix one space: an addition, garage, sunroom, or a room that never gets comfortable. Choose multi-zone when you want whole-home comfort in a house without ductwork.
