New Customer - first purchase

I chose this higher MERV rating because of a child in the house with allergies. This is a GREAT price & the shipping was fast! Did I mention the filter is American made? So far, I am impressed with AirFilterBuy.com
Quick story...I waited a little too long before ordering and a dirty air filter caused me a small problem. The air flow became restricted which caused the condenser to ice over. So, even though the a/c unit and blower were functioning, there was NO AIR flowing into the house. I called my HVAC technician, who came over promptly and opened up the plenum and showed me how a huge block of ice had formed due to the restricted air flow of the dirty filter. So, I installed the replacement filter, left the unit off during a warm spell so it could defrost, mopped up the melted water, and restarted the unit. Cold air is flowing again.
With the automatic renewal every 6 months, I don't anticipate this becoming an issue in the future. FYI...this is the recommended replacement cycle by my HVAC tech.
