Free Shipping

Free shipping is available on every order when shipped within the continental United States.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping is not available at this time. We simply are not equipped to offer expedited shipping given the cost of rush shipping relative to the physical size of the air filter (they’re bulky!). In most cases, we deliver within 3-4 business days - we have factories strategically placed around the U.S. to quickly serve customers in their region!

Shipping Outside the Continental United States

At this time, we only ship to the continental United States. Just like expedited shipping, the cost of shipping filters internationally (or to Hawaii and Alaska) is prohibitively expensive relative to the product cost. However, we do believe our business model and filter manufacturing process is unique and aim to be expanding internationally in the future.

Return Policy

We stand behind all of our filters. If the filter is defective or flawed upon receipt and it’s been less than 30 days since the purchase, please contact us as soon as possible to schedule a free return or exchange.

If your order arrives damaged—whether from shipping or a manufacturing issue—please let us know within 30 days of receiving it to be eligible for a refund or exchange. We’ll also ask you to include photos of the damage to help with quality control and any shipping claims.

Damage after delivery—Once a package has been marked as delivered by the carrier (UPS), it is considered the responsibility of the customer. We are not liable for packages that are damaged due to weather after confirmed delivery.

Please Note: we do not provide return shipping boxes or reimburse for the purchase of one.

Amazon Purchased Air Filters

If you purchased your air filters through Amazon, please follow Amazon’s return process. All returns must be authorized by Amazon, and products should not be sent back directly to Filterbuy.

Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier (e.g., UPS), responsibility for the package transfers to the customer. We are not liable for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery.

If your package is marked as delivered but you can’t locate it:

  1. Double-check the delivery status: Sometimes packages are marked as delivered a few hours early.
  2. Look around your property: Carriers may leave packages in secure spots like back doors or porches.
  3. Ask neighbors: It’s possible it was delivered nearby or taken in for safekeeping.
  4. Contact us: We’re happy to help by checking the delivery details. If available, we can provide a delivery confirmation photo from the carrier. We can also look into any potential mis-delivery and confirm the address where the package was scanned as delivered.

Check for purchase protection – Some credit card providers offer coverage for stolen packages. We recommend filing a claim if applicable.

Custom Filters

We do not accept returns for custom filter orders except in cases of manufacturing defects.

Custom-size air filters are made to the exact dimensions you enter when placing your order and, for that reason, aren’t eligible for return or refund. Each filter is cut to a tolerance of ±1/8".

Because custom filters are cut from larger stock, they may still display the original size label. If you think you received the wrong size, we’ll ask you to measure the filter and send a photo so we can confirm whether it was mislabeled.

Please Note: Due to material limitations used to build a custom filter, we may construct a double filter (two filters fused together) when any filter dimension is larger than 29.81" on both sides and or larger than 35.81" on one side.

Order Cancellations

Non-Subscription Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order and it has not yet shipped, please contact us as soon as possible with your order information readily available.

Once the order has been received by the shipping carrier, our general return policy will take effect. If you wish to cancel an order after it has been received by the shipping carrier, please contact us to request a return authorization.

Subscription Cancellations

Filter subscribers are notified by email before the next shipment is scheduled to be processed.

We hate to see you go, but if you must…

You can cancel your filter subscription on the Subscriptions page of your Profile by clicking the “Cancel Subscription” button. Next, you will be asked to “Confirm” your cancellation. Please note, your filter subscription is not canceled until you confirm the cancellation. When you cancel, we will deliver an email confirming the cancellation within 24 hours.

Please note, our Return Policy will be applied to a subscription order when it’s received by the shipping carrier.
