They look like nice thick filters. I just put one in two days ago so I can’t say much. I am disappointed that the filters are yellow to begin with but maybe there’s a reason for that. Maybe I’ll still be able to tell when it’s dirty. I was impressed that it slid into place easily while still providing a good seal. The big box filters would not go in unless I stripped the foam strips off. I will definitely reorder.

A: Hi Jim, This filter is designed to last 6 months under normal conditions. Obviously, it depends on the dust level of your house (including pets, etc). I would check the level of dust after 3 months to see if it's starting to look clogged, but in general 6 months for this filter should be just fine. Thanks for your interest! FilterBuy.com
