Very disappointed in quality and construction! I purchased these as a direct replacement for the Lennox X6675 filters. I know these are a MERV13 vs. the Lennox at MERV16. And these do not have carbon for odors.... but, these are supposed to be an EXACT size for size match according to the "actual" dimensions listed on each filter. The Filter Buy brand is NOT. The X6675 fits perfectly in my unit. Filter Buy brand is built lopsided. The corners are not square, so one end of the filter is 1/8" higher. May not seem like much, but that is huge in an exact fit compartment that was built to prevent air passage around the filter. I actually had to crush the ends, which buckled the middle of this filter, just to get it to slide into the channel. And on the X6675 there is a built-in tab to pull on to remove the filter. This one has nothing!. And now that it is "crammed" into the channel, I will undoubtedly need to puncture a hole in the side of the filter to hook it to pull it back out. Now let's talk about quality. The filter media is spun so thinly on the Filter Buy that it is nearly bare in spots! It won't be stopping anything, let alone small micron particles! The Lennox X6675 is a FAR superior filter. I believe I counted 19 ridges on the Filter Buy unit. There are 70 on the Lennox! And the filter media is so heavy you cannot see light through it. Please realize that as you drop down in MERV rating the number of ridges decrease and so does the quality and thickness of the filter media. But, I have purchased Nordic Pure MERV13, MERV14, and MERV15 filters on Amazon for little more $$ than I paid for the Filter Buy brand. And TRUST me when I tell you that the quality of even the Nordic Pure MERV13 far surpassed this filter! Same number of ridges, but far heavier filter media. The one problem I ran into with Nordic Pure was the supposed "exact size match" claim to the X6675. I would often find them to be manufactured a little too tall to properly slide easily into the channel. That is the only reason I decided to try the Filter Buy brand! The Lennox X6675 will definitely last 12 months in the unit! And the cost is $100. The Nordic Pure, all MERV ratings, will last at least 8-10 months, with the MERV15 10-12 months. And the cost of the Nordic Pure brand will range in price as the MERV rating increases from $45-$63. Verified 11/13/2021. I paid $34 a piece for these Filter Buy filters. And the only way to get them that cheap is to buy multiples! Otherwise they will be as costly as the Nordic Pure. In my honest opinion, this filter will not even last 6 months and all the while it will be allowing more dust and smaller particles to pass through the media and circulate through our home... AND my family will be breathing in more of the same!!
